The Mahindra Scorpio-N was launched in India in June 2023. It is the successor to the popular Mahindra Scorpio, which has been on sale in India since 2002. The Scorpio-N is based on a new platform and is designed to be a more premium and upmarket offering than its predecessor which is now called as the Scorpio Classic. It is also larger and more spacious than the previous gen model.
The Mahindra Scorpio-N is a powerful and feature-rich SUV that has been well-received by reviewers and consumers alike. However, it is not without its flaws. One of the biggest complaints about the Scorpio-N is its lack of space for third-row passengers. The third row is cramped and uncomfortable, making it only suitable for children or occasional use. Additionally, with all three rows of seats up, the Scorpio-N’s boot is almost non-existent. There is only enough space for a small bag or two. This makes the Scorpio-N impractical for families who need to carry a lot of luggage.
2025 Mahindra Scorpio N XL Ultimate Edition
To address the above issues, automotive artist SRK Designs has come out with a perfect solution in form of the 2025 Mahindra Scorpio N XL Ultimate Edition with an elongated back which will make the Scorpio-N a more complete package. The elongated back would provide much-needed legroom and headroom for third-row passengers, ensuring a comfortable and accommodating seating experience for all occupants. This additional space would also significantly enlarge the boot area, creating ample storage capacity for luggage and other essentials. This would make the Scorpio-N a more versatile SUV that would be better suited for families and long-distance travel.
In addition to addressing the space issues, an XL variant could also provide an opportunity to add some other desirable features, such as a panoramic sunroof and more legroom for second-row passengers. These additions would further enhance the Scorpio-N’s appeal and make it even more competitive in the SUV market.
Apart from the extended rear section, the rendering showcases several design enhancements that further improve the SUV’s aesthetics and functionality. The redesigned tailgate boasts a sleeker and more streamlined appearance, while the top-hinged opening mechanism enhances loading and unloading convenience. The rear windshield now accommodates the wiper at a slightly higher position. Additionally, the rendering showcases a fresh alloy wheel design complementing the SUV’s bold and muscular stance.
The introduction of the Mahindra Scorpio N XL would address the SUV’s biggest weaknesses and make it a more versatile and family-friendly option. Mahindra should strongly consider introducing this variant in the near future, as it has the potential to significantly enhance the Scorpio N’s appeal.
