Two decades ago, the Octavia marked the start of Skoda Auto’s model offensive campaign in India. With its timeless look, superb interiors, class-leading safety, and sophisticated connectivity features, the fourth generation raises the bar even higher.

DESIGN AND DIMENSIONS
The all-new Octavia has been totally redesigned, and it now features an all-new, light design that exudes a more powerful and macho personality. Every panel in the new Octavia generation is brand new.
The all-new body design not only sharpens the overall aspect of the all-new Skoda Octavia, but also allows for superb aerodynamics. The new Octavia has a length of 4,689 mm, a height of 1,469 mm, a width of 1,829 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,680 mm. A classic strong grill with a striking chrome frame dominates the front part of the Octavia, capturing everyone’s attention.
Following on the grill, there are razor-sharp, thinner new headlights with Bi-LED technology and standard daytime running lights, which are a visual treat.
The all-new Skoda Octavia comes in five colour options: Lava Blue, Candy White, Magic Black, Brilliant Silver, and Maple Brown, the latter two of which are only available at Laurin & Klement variant.
INTERIOR: NEW DESIGN IMPROVES ERGONOMICS AND APPEARANCE
The inside has a wonderful balance of style, functionality, comfort, and space that welcomes one in.
Premium beige suede leather upholstery is featured on the all-new Octavia, which is elegantly accented with chrome details. The multi-level dashboard has been totally overhauled and has a more attractive appearance. The vehicle’s emotive and authentic appearance is enhanced by the two-spoke multifunction steering wheel with paddle shift and black leather upholstery.
Passengers can select from a variety of colour hues known as’mood tiles,’ or customise a colour on a bar to his or her preference. The dashboard and footwell can also have distinct colour palettes.When the entrance doors open, the new lighting system goes red to help with safety.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The fourth generation Octavia features shift by wire’ technology and an electric parking brake, a first for the Czech automaker in India.
The gear selection is controlled and electronically conveyed to the transmission unit by a simple rocker switch built into the centre console.
The all-new Skoda Octavia is powered by a turbocharged 2.0 TSI petrol engine.
It produces 190 PS (140kW) of power and 320 Nm of peak torque while achieving fuel efficiency of 15.81 km/l (ARAI)
COMFORT AND CONVENIENCE
The all-new Skoda Octavia comes with a slew of technically advanced and intelligent connectivity technologies that give elegance a practical twist.
The digital instrument panel, which can display on-board computer characteristics with other information, provides an excellent overview. The new 25.4-inch display infotainment system features a revolutionary touch slider for volume and map adjustments.
Smartphones can be connected to the infotainment system to provide access to apps. The premium Canton Sound system on the all-new Octavia Laurin & Klement has a power output of 600 plus watts and includes 12 speakers, including a subwoofer. Different temperatures can be set for the front passengers using the Two Zone Climatronic air conditioning system with Air Care function.
There are storage pockets and Velcro in the cargo area to prevent bags from moving around unnecessarily. The ŠKODA Octavia offers 600 litres and 1,555 litres luggage space after folding down the rear seats. At the stroke of a button on the remote control, the electrically operated 5th door opens and closes. The door has a Virtual Pedal that allows for contactless entry.The ‘Simply Clever’ features are distinguished by their meticulous attention to detail and are both ingenious and intuitive.
The Octavia includes a sophisticated, gesture-controlled LED reading light unit, smartphone pockets on the front seat backs, an umbrella storage compartment in the front doors, easy open-cup holders, a pair of USB C ports in the dashboard and Centre Console, a USB C port behind the IRVM, smart cargo elements, hooks, and net restraints for the luggage compartments, roller sun blinds, and more.
A funnel incorporated into the lid of the windscreen washer tank is another “Simply Clever” feature for the all-new Octavia. Water ducts have been added to the windscreens, allowing rainfall to drain as efficiently as possible.
SAFETY AND SECURITY
Safety is a top priority at Skoda Auto. The new fourth generation Octavia Laurin & Klement comes standard with a variety of safety features, including eight airbags, iBuzz Fatigue Alert, and AFS (Adaptive Front-lighting System). ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), ESC (Electronic Stability Control), EBD (Electronic Brake-force Distribution), tyre pressure monitoring system, acoustic, and other security and safety assistance functions are included. There are eight airbags that deploy if the driver is unable to control the situation.
