Skoda has launched its new compact SUV – Karoq, in India. It is only viable in a single Style variant and comes with a petrol engine mated to an automatic transmission.

The new Skoda compact SUV is priced at INR 24.99 Lakh (ex-showroom India).
The new Karoq measures 4382 mm in length, 1841 mm in width, 1624 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2638 mm. The boot capacity is 521 litres with the seats in the upright position and can be further increased to 1630 litres by folding down the rear seats.
Power for the India-spec Skoda Karoq comes from a 1.5 TSI petrol engine with Active Cylinder Technology. This motor is mated to a 7-speed DSG gearbox which drives the front wheel. The engine makes 150 PS of power @ 5000-6000 rpm and 250 Nm of torque @ 1500-3500 rpm.
The Skoda Karoq comes loaded with many features. The SUV features Adaptive Front-lighting System with LED headlamps, LED fog lamps and LED DRLs. It also gets sleek C-shaped LED tail lamps. The vehicle also gets a Panoramic Sunroof, 17-inch Aronia Alloy wheels in dual-tone Anthracite finish.
Inside, the compact SUV features Stone Beige leather upholstery, Leather-wrapped steering wheel and Leather-wrapped gear-shift selector. The Karoq is also equipped with Virtual Cockpit, Automatically dimming interior and external rearview mirrors, 12-way electrically adjustable driver seat and Height adjustable front passenger.
The SUV also gets an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with 8-speakers, Navigation System, 2-zone Climatronic, Steering mounted controls for telephone and audio, Cruise control, Automatic front wiper system with rain sensor.
The list doesn’t end there, the Karoq also features Keyless Entry, Start and exit System with engine start/stop button, Parktronic system, Gear-shift controls on steering wheel, Colour programmable interior ambient lighting and Front glovebox with cooling and illumination.
Skoda has always been known to keep safety at the forefront in their cars, the Karoq is no exception. It includes 9 airbags, ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution), Electromechanical parking brake with Auto Hold Function, ASR (Anti Slip Regulation), EDS (Electronic Differential Lock), ESC (Electronic Stability Control) and TPM (Tyre Pressure Monitoring).

The SUV is available in 6 colour options – Candy White, Magnetic Brown, Lava Blue, Quartz Grey, Brilliant Silver and Magic Black.
