Tata Motors has officially launched the all-new Altroz in India. This marks the company’s entry into the premium hatchback segment. The Tata Altroz will be available in five trim levels – XE, XM, XZ and XZ(O) in both petrol and diesel variants. Along with the Altroz, Tata Motors has also launched the BS-VI compliant models of the Nexon, Tiago and Tigor.

Customers of the Altroz will also be able to get 6 different factory-fitted customizable options to be chosen from 4 packs – the Rhythm, Style, Luxe and Urban.
The Altroz is the first vehicle from Tata Motors to be developed on the new Agile Light Flexible Advanced (ALFA) architecture and the second vehicle to use the Impact 2.0 design language. The hatchback has also received a 5-star crash rating from Global NCAP, making it one of the safest cars in India right now.
The Altroz was first showcased as the Tata 45X Concept at the Auto Expo 2018 while the production model was unveiled at the 89th Geneva International Motor Show (GIMS). The company has also showcased an all-electric Altroz EV concept car which will also soon be introduced in the Indian auto market.
2020 Tata Altroz Colour Options:
The Altroz will be available in 5 exciting colours – High Street Gold, Downtown Red, Midtown Grey, Avenue White and Skyline Silver. It will be available with dual-tone black roof option with 3 body colour options- High Street Gold, Downtown Red & Avenue White.
The petrol Altroz is powered by the 1.2 L Revotron, 3-cylinder, naturally aspirated engine. It makes a power of 86 PS @ 6000 rpm and a torque of 113 Nm @ 3300 rpm.
The diesel Altroz is fitted with the 4-cylinder 1.5 L Revotorq turbocharged engine. This motor churns out a power output of 90 PS @ 4000 rpm and a torque of 200 Nm @ 1250-3000 rpm. Both engines are mated to a 5-speed gearbox. It also gets Idle Stop-Start and Multi Drive Modes – Eco & City.
The Tata Altroz measures 3990 mm in length, 1755 mm in width and 1523 mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 2501 mm and a ground clearance of 165 mm. The car has a turning radius of 5 m and a boot capacity of 345 litres.
Some of the key features of the Altroz include Dual Airbags, 90-degree opening doors, Cockpit inspired interiors, 7-inch digital cluster, Auto Headlamp, Rain sensing wipers, Leather Wrapped Steering Wheel & Gear Lever, Cruise Control and a 7-inch touchscreen Harman Infotainment system.
Other features include Serene blue mood lighting, Rear flat floor, Rear AC vents, Multifunctional steering wheel, Engine Push Button Start Stop with smart key, Fully Automatic Climate Control, Rear Power Outlet, Front sliding armrest with storage, Rear seat armrest and 15-litre Cooled Glove Box with illumination.
The Altroz also comes with Energy Absorbing Body Structure, reverse parking camera with dynamic guideway, Height adjustable front seatbelt with Crash Locking Tongue, Retractable Pretensioner Load limiter, ISOFIX Child Seat Tether Anchorage, Corner Stability Control.
It further gets Immobiliser, Voice Alerts/ Warnings, Smart Rear Wiper & Washer, Rear Fog Lamp, Driver & Co-Driver Seatbelt Reminder, Anti-Glare IRVM, Perimetric Alarm System, Child safety lock on rear door and Collapsible Steering Column.
