Audi, the German luxury car manufacturer, launched the new face of its Q family – the Audi Q8. A combination of a four-door luxury coupe and a versatile SUV.
The Audi Q8 is equipped with a powerful yet efficient 3.0 TFSI engine that generates 340 hp (250KW) and 500 Nm of torque propelling the car from 0-100kmph in 5.9 seconds. It also gets a 48V Mild Hybrid system.
The Audi Q8 is offered with an eight-speed Tiptronic transmission and can reach a Top Speed of 250km/h. The SUV also comes with Audi Drive Select with 7 driving modes including “Individual” mode.
Richly equipped, comprehensively connected and tough enough for off-road duty, the Audi Q8 55 TFSI is a composed companion for business and leisure. It is big on customization and is priced at INR 1.33 Crore onwards.
The Audi Q8 SUV measures 4.99 m in length, 2m in width and 1.71 m in height. It has a wheelbase of 3 m along with a boot capacity of 1,755 litres.
The Audi Q8 features a sporty design and upscale prestige like no other. It gets an imposing Singleframe grille in octagonal design. The size & shape of the broad C-pillar evokes memories of race-winning Quattro cars.
LED headlights flow into and swell in the upper fender. The flare of the fender starts midway on the door & extends to integrate elegantly with the rear liftgate. Pronounced air intakes enhance the aggressive SUV character.
The Audi Q8 also comes with a Panoramic sunroof and frameless doors. It gets HD Matrix LED Technology as standard along with continuous running LED strip with dynamic indicators.
At the rear, the SUV comes with Trapezoidal tailpipe design, High Gloss Black design trim and Diffusers in Anthracite black come as optional. The sports utility vehicle also comes with an Optional S Line Exterior package for sporty and aggressive looks and Optional S Line Sports Package with Sports Air Suspension, Flat Bottom Steering Wheel and Sports Seats.
Inside, the vehicle sports a wrap-around design. It gets a high-quality cabin ‘Aero-acoustics’ with a Driver-focused Cockpit design. The new Q8 comes with Button-less MMI Navigation system with Touch Response.
Customers also get additional options which include customized contour seats with massage function and ventilation. Four-zone automatic air conditioning and air quality package with fragrance and ionizer further enhance the elegant ambience is also offered with the luxury car.
Other key features include MMI and Touch Response which include 2 Screens, – a 10.1-inch Primary screen and an 8.6-inch Secondary screen. The system comes with Haptic and Acoustic feedback, MMI Search – Free Text Search with Natural language interaction with the speed dialogue system.
The system also features advanced handwriting recognition. There is also provision for shortcuts in the secondary screen as well. Other features include Audi Phone Box with Wireless Charging, a 1920 watts Bang & Olufsen 3D Surround Sound System with 23 Speakers, Audi Music and Smartphone Interface
Safety features include Audi Pre-Sense basic, 8 Airbags, Audi Park Assist and Electronic Stabilization Program. Customers can choose from 54 exterior colours, 11 interior colours and 9 wooden inlays from Audi Exclusive customization with infinite personalization possibilities.
Audi India also introduced Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) elements that give customers a look and feel of a car that can be configured before purchase. As part of the Digital Retail initiatives, Audi India has also taken e-commerce to the next level – customers can now purchase genuine Audi merchandise directly online from the Audi Shop.
