Maruti Suzuki has launched its newest product, the S-Presso. The all-new Maruti Suzuki S-Presso is conceptualized and designed in India for India and the world. The company is marketing it as a Mini-SUV.

The new Maruti S-Presso is inspired by the Future-S Concept which was showcased at the Auto Expo 2018. . Though the production version looks very different from the concept vehicle showcased. It retains the SUV-ish stance. The car measures 3565 mm in length, 1564 mm in height (1549 mm for STD/LXi), 1520 mm in width and has a wheelbase of 2380 mm.
The Maruti Suzuki S-Presso is built on the 5th generation HEARTECT platform which uses 40% high tensile steel. This ensures a stronger, safer and sturdier structure claims the company. The S-Presso is said to come with more than 10 safety features and is compliant with all safety regulations. Maruti Suzuki will also offer several best-in-its class features to customers of the S-Presso.
The new Maruti S-Presso comes with a distinct SUV character with a bold design statement. The upright A-pillar and back door design give it an SUV presence. The sculpted volumes give the small car a bold look. The lifted door-sill underlined by a higher ground clearance exhibits confidence and bold stance. It also comes with squared wheel arches for the SUV look and the car comes fitted with 14-inch wheels.
The new Maruti S-Presso comes with a unique looking interior. The centre console design is inspired by tough sports watches to appeal to the young customer. The designers feel that together with the infotainment system and digital speedometer, it adds to the car’s style and a seamless blend of new technology and bold design.
The new S-Presso has high seating layout that offers a commanding driving position. This also enables easy ingress and egress with ample legroom. The large cabin space with intense sporty black colour scheme accentuated by bright pop out accents brings excitement for young customer. S-Presso is loaded with conveniently located utility spaces in front and rear.
The Maruti S-Presso offers first in its class Steering mounted audio and voice controls. The advanced Smartplay Studio ensures that music, entertainment and navigation are always available with a touch. It has a user-friendly and vibrant graphic user interface, compatible with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and other Smartplay Studio Apps.
Under the hood of the S-Presso is a proven 1.0 L K10 engine with BSVI compliance. Equipped with both Manual and AGS (Auto Gear Shift) options, it delivers 68 PS @ 5500rpm and 90 Nm @ 3500 rpm. The car offers good fuel efficiency as well – 21.7 kmpl (Vxi/Vxi+) 21.4 kmpl (Std/Lxi).
