Maruti Suzuki India Limited has launched its all-new premium MPV, the XL6. The 6-seater, Maruti XL6 is based on the Ertiga and was earlier speculated to be called the Ertiga Cross. The XL6 will sell through Maruti Suzuki’s NEXA dealerships across the country.

The Maruti Suzuki XL6 features a raised hood and unique grille with bold cross-bar design element sweeping into the head-lamps ending with the inset LED DRLs which add to XL6’s imposing, rugged and tough stance.
The XL6 also comes with black Alloy wheels, Roof rails and side claddings which add to its crossover looks. The 6-seater MPV also features signature Quad-LED headlamps and tail lamps with LED light.
Inside, the XL6 gets all-black interiors, with premium stone finish and rich silver accents sweeping across the cabin which impart a sophisticated touch. The slim wide Instrument panel emphasizes the width of the car, adding to the overall feel of space and carrying forward the exterior design language.
The leather-wrapped flat-bottom steering wheel with easy-access controls and cruise control switches further adds convenience to style. The seats are upholstered in premium leather. The 2nd row gets captain seats and the 3rd row gets reclining seats. 3rd-row passengers have ease of ingress and egress, thanks to one-touch recline and slide mechanism on the 2nd-row seats.
Availability of ample utility spaces, such as ventilated cup holders, an overhead console, accessory sockets in each row along with a rear AC further steps up the overall comfort & convenience level.
The Maruti XL6 is also offered with the 7-inch SmartPlay Studio touchscreen system which is completely integrated with the car displaying key vehicle information such as Low fuel alert, fuel economy etc. It is also enabled with smartphone connectivity for seamless integration.
2019 Maruti Suzuki XL6 Colour Options:
The new 6-seater XL6 is available in six exterior paint finishes – Nexa Blue, Auburn Red, Magma Gray, Premium Silver, Arctic White and Brave Khaki.
The new Maruti Suzuki XL6 is powered by a BS-VI compliant K15 petrol engine with Progressive Smart Hybrid technology with Li-ion battery. This motor develops a power of 77 kW @ 6000 rpm and a torque of 138 Nm @ 4400 rpm. The XL6 will be available in a 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic transmission options.
The new XL6 MPV is built on Suzuki’s 5th Generation HEARTECT platform and is compliant with all Indian safety regulations like Frontal offset impact, side-impact and pedestrian protection. It measures 4445 mm in length, 1775 mm in width, 1700 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2740 mm.
It is equipped with a host of safety features such as dual front airbags, ABS (Anti-lock-Braking System) with EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution), front seat belts with Pre-tensioners and Force Limiters, ISOFIX child seat anchorages, high-speed warning alert, reverse parking sensors as a standard fitment across all variants. ESP (electronic stability program) with Hill Hold function is offered as a standard feature in automatic variants only.
