Kia Motors, the world’s 8th largest automaker has launched its first product in mid-SUV segment, the Seltos in the Indian market with an introductory price starting from INR 9.69 Lakh. The Kia Seltos is BS-VI compliant and available in both petrol and diesel variants with manual and automatic transmission options. There will be a total of 16 variants on offer.

The Kia Seltos will have two distinct design lines – Tech Line aimed at family-oriented customers and GT Line aimed at enthusiasts who are young at heart. All the engines of the SUV will be BS-VI compliant, making Seltos the first car in the segment to meet the emissions norms that will come into effect next year.
The Kia Seltos is available with three engine options. The Smartstream 1.4-litre turbo petrol produces 140 PS & 242 Nm and is available with a 6-speed manual gearbox or 7-speed DCT. The Smartstream 1.5-litre petrol makes 115 PS &144 Nm and is mated with a 6-speed manual gearbox or the Infinitely variable transmission (IVT).
The 1.5-litre diesel VGT churns out 115 PS & 250 Nm and is coupled to either a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed automatic transmission. Drivers would also have the option to choose from ‘Normal’, ‘Eco’ and ‘Sport’ driving modes.
Kia Seltos Colour Options:
The Kia Seltos is being offered in a variety of 8 colours – Intense Red, Aurora Black Pearl, Glacier White Pearl, Punchy Orange, Intelligency Blue, Gravity Gray, Steel Silver and Clear White.
It will also come in 5 dual-tone options – Intense Red with Aurora Black Pearl, Steel Silver with Aurora Black Pearl, Glacier White Pearl with Aurora Black Pearl, Steel Silver with punchy Orange and Glacier White Pearl with Punchy Orange.
Inside, the SUV will be available with Premium Black Monotone as well as Black & Beige dual-tone options.
The Kia Seltos is a feature-packed SUV and also has a very dynamic looking body design. It gets aesthetically crafted crown jewel LED headlamps with Heartbeat DRLs which give the SUV a sleek look and a distinctive character. The elegant yet sport 17.0 crystal cut alloy wheels add to the sporty premium appeal of the car while the heartbeat shaped tail lamps build on the robust stance of the car.
The Seltos also features an electric sunroof, 2 step rear reclining seat, Ambient Mood Lighting, Ventilated front seats & Driver power seat, Rear Sunshade Curtain and Smart Pure Air system. The SUV also comes with Cruise Control and Wireless charger with cooling function.
The Kia Seltos is offered with 10.25 HD touchscreen with Navigation and UVO connected car technology. UVO is a connected car solution with AI voice recognition that integrates the customer’s car, Smartphone & infotainment system into a single solution. The SUV is also equipped with the Advance 7.0 Color display panel which enhances ease of driving.
Further, the Seltos will be offered with Bose premium 8-speaker system and a 360-degree camera with BVM (Blind view monitor) & DRVM (Driving Rear View Monitor). It also gets the Smart 8.0 HUD which displays driving information to assist safe driving by minimizing movement of the driver’s line of sight and reduces distraction while driving.
The Kia Seltos SUV structure uses Advance high-strength steel (AHSS) to provide comprehensive safety. It is equipped with 6 Airbags, Disc brakes on all wheels along with ESC, HAC, VSM and ABS which helps to keep the car in control while driving. It is also offered with Tyre Pressure Monitor which helps to keep track of the tire pressure to protect you against any unexpected incident.
