Benelli, a manufacturer of premium bikes and Adishwar Auto Ride India – Mahavir Group, have launched the adventure-oriented range – Benelli TRK 502 and Benelli TRK 502X. The bikes are available in 3 colour options – Red, White and Graphite Grey.

Both the adventure touring motorcycles are powered by the same 499.6cc, DOHC, 8-valve, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine. This motor produces 47 bhp of maximum power at 8,500 rpm and 46 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm. It comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
There is a significant difference between the Benelli TRK 502 and the TRK 502X. The latter is a more rugged version of the TRK 502 and comes with extra features. The TRK 502 comes fitted with 17-inch alloy wheels at both the ends. These wheels are wrapped with tubeless Pirelli tyres of size 120/70 at the front and 160/60 at the rear.
On the other hand, the TRK 502X is equipped with wire-spoke wheels of size 19-inch at the front and 17-inch at the rear. These wheels are fitted Metzeler offroad tyres of size 110/80 at front and 150/70 at the rear.
Suspension duty on both the bikes is carried out by 50mm Inverted Telescopic forks up front and a Rebound + Pre-load adjustable hydraulic monoshock at the rear. Both the motorcycles are built on a steel-tube trellis which surrounds the engine and has been engineered to offer a fine balance of rigidity and agility.
The design of the Benelli TRK 502 is a blend of aggressive lines with modern day adventure-bike styling. This makes the bike look rugged yet appealing to the eyes of bystanders. The riding position is said to be comfortable, with a wide handlebar, plush split-seats and plenty of legroom for comfort on longer trips.
The TRK 502X on the other hand not only looks more aggressive than the TRK 502 but has also been tuned to tackle demanding situations with prowess. The wide handlebar is easy to reach while standing up and also gives the rider more control over rough terrains. The exhaust has also been moved up for the 502X to make sure it doesn’t get affected when the bike rides through rough terrains.
