Maruti Suzuki launched the new Baleno facelift in the country. The company will soon also launch the Baleno RS variant which is the sportier version of the hatchback.
The 2019 Maruti Baleno RS gets a new front look. It now gets honeycomb mesh design for the front grill as well as the vents on the bumper. The intake grille on the bumper has been redesigned and now is wider as well as taller. The fog lamp enclosure is also now much bigger and gives the car a very aggressive look.
The company hasn’t released any more details but we can expect the mechanicals to remain the same. It will continue to get its power from the 1.0L BoosterJet engine which makes 100 hp and 150 Nm of torque. This motor comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.
The Baleno RS also comes with disc brakes on all four wheels and gets a stiffer suspension setup for better handling, especially around corners. It also gets new alloy wheels as well.
Feature-wise, the new Baleno RS will get all the same things available on the top-end Alpha variant of the normal model. This will include the new Smartplay Studio touchscreen infotainment system, LED projector headlamps with DRLs and we might also see a new interior colour scheme as well.
The hatchback will come equipped with ABS (antilock braking system) with EBD (electronic brake force distribution) and brake assist, pre-tensioner and force limiter seat belts with reminder, ISOFIX child restraint system, speed alert system and rear parking sensors as standard.
The new Baleno RS will be available in Pearl Arctic White, Premium Silver, Nexa Blue, Autumn Orange, Phoenix Red and Magma Grey exterior paint finishes.
