The Mercedes-Benz India has launched the third generation CLS for the Indian market. The Mercedes-Benz CLS was the world’s first four-door coupe. It is the 12th launch by Mercedes-Benz India for the year 2018.

The coupe-style four-door sedan is priced at INR 84.70 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India).
The new CLS 300 d is the first car to incorporate the new Mercedes-Benz design philosophy of “sensual purity” in a stylish coupe body style. It is powered by the new 2.0-litre four-cylinder, BS VI complaint diesel engine.
This motor produces out (241 bhp) 80 kW and a peak torque of 500 Nm @ 1600- 2400 rpm. It is coupled with a 9-speed automatic transmission. The new Mercedes CLS 300 d can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.4 seconds and can reach a top speed of 250 km/h.
Inside, the new CLS features a high-resolution 12.3-inch infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also comes with a digital cockpit with three selectable display styles and new generation telematics which includes the Audio 20 with NTG 5.5.
The new CLS is also installed with Burmester surround sound system which includes 13 high-performance speakers precisely tailored to the vehicle interiors which provides an acoustic experience.
Other features of the couple style sedan include MULTIBEAM LED headlamps with adaptive high beam, Ambient lighting in 64 colours along with illuminated air vents. The car is offered in a wide range of exterior paintwork including Graphite Grey, Ruby Black and Designo Selenite Grey Magno. It also offers new 18-inch alloys and an electric sliding sunroof with Pre-safe closing function.
