Volkswagen India has launched the Connect Edition of the Vento, Polo and Ameo for the Indian market. The cars now get Volkswagen Connect and will also be available the new Lapiz Blue colour which was earlier launched with the Skoda Rapid Onyx Edition.
Volkswagen Connect is an intelligent, connected vehicle assistant that offers a seamless connected car experience to Indian drivers. The interactive ‘Connect’ app enables users to connect their car to their smartphone through a “Plug and Play” data dongle fitted to the onboard diagnostics (OBD) port of the car.
Once installed and connected with a smartphone via Bluetooth, customers can experience advanced connected features such as trip tracking, fuel cost monitoring, driving behaviour and much more. The Connect app is compatible with both Android and iOS platforms and is available to download at the Google Play and App Store respectively. The key highlights of the Connect App are Trip tracking, Fuel cost monitor, Driving behaviour, Location sharing, SOS call and Service appointment.
The Polo, Ameo and Vento Connect Edition get 16-inch Gray Portago alloy wheels, Leatherette Seat covers, Aluminium Pedals, Black carbon finish for the ORVM, Chrome “Connect” badge on the fender, Glossy Roof and side decals.
Volkswagen has also introduced new additional features for customer comfort and convenience. The cars now get Moonstone coloured Radio surround trim, Glove box light, Rear USB charging port.
The VW Polo also gets Leatherette seat fabrics while the Polo GT comes with Chequered seat fabrics. Volkswagen is now also offering Dual front side airbags and Body colour rear spoiler for the VW Vento. The Highline variant of the Vento now comes with 15-inch Diamond cut Linas alloy wheels which were earlier available with the Vento Allstar variant.
The Connect edition will be available to customers at no additional cost. The prices of the 2018 VW Polo, VW Ameo and VW Vento range from INR 5.55 – 9.39 Lakh, INR 5.65-9.99 Lakh and 8.38-14.02 Lakh respectively.
