2018 Tata Tigor (facelift) Launched in India; Priced from INR 5.20 Lakh

Tata Motors has launched the refreshed version of what it likes to call as India’s first Styleback, the Tigor. The 2018 Tata Tigor gets new styling elements and features for the exterior as well the interior. The compact sedan is available in 5 variants – XE, XM, XZ, XZA and XZ+.

Tata Tigor Refresh Interior 2018

The new Tigor model comes with exterior design elements such as dual chamber projector headlamps, crystal inspired LED Tail lamps, new diamond patterned front grille with a chrome accented bottom grill, chrome lined door handles, Shark-fin and dual-tone 15-inch alloy wheels. The ORVMs get LED turn indicators with auto fold function. And the car also comes with roof spoiler with integrated LED stop lamp.

Inside, the new Tata Tigor facelift offers height adjustable driver’s seat as a standard feature and scooped out front seat backs for more legroom. It also comes equipped with a fully automatic temperature control (FATC) a boot space of 419 litres with wide and clear opening using an innovative 4 bar mechanism and 24 intelligent spaces inside the cabin.

Another highlight of the new Tigor is the 7-inch capacitive infotainment with Android Auto from Harman which also functions as the display for the reverse camera. This system is connected to 4 speakers and 4 tweeters. Tata Motor claims that every detail of the sound system has been precisely tuned by Harman golden ear certified auto experts to maximize the interior acoustics of each specific cabin.

Safety wise, the Tigor gets an energy absorbing body structure made using high strength steel. It also comes with dual airbags as a standard feature and Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) and Corner Stability Control (CSC).

The Tata Tigor Refresh carries over the 1.2L Revotron petrol and the 1.05L Revotorq diesel powertrains which are offered with Multi-Drive Modes. The company claims that the engines have been further refined and optimized to deliver better performance and lower NVH. Improvements have also been done in transmission assembly to reduce vibrations. Offered in a 5-speed manual transmission, Tata Motors is also offering an AMT version on its XZ variant.

2018 Tata Tigor Colour Options:

The compact sedan will be available in 6 exterior shades – Egyptian Blue, Roman Silver, Espresso Brown, Berry Red, Pearlescent White and Titanium Grey.
