Ford India has launched the updated Figo based compact sedan in the country. The new Ford Aspire is available at an introductory price starting from INR 5.55 Lakh. The car is available in five variants across two fuel options and seven colours. The new Aspire sedan is produced at Ford India’s Sanand Factory in Gujarat, for consumers in India and all around the world.

2018 Ford Aspire Colour Options:
The compact sedan is available in seven colours, including White Gold, Moondust Silver, Smoke Grey, Absolute Black Deep Impact Blue, Ruby Red and Oxford White.
The compact sedan now comes equipped with Ford’s all-new, three-cylinder 1.2L TiVCT petrol engine which mated is to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The naturally aspirated engine generates 96 PS of peak power and 120 Nm of torque. The motor claims to deliver a fuel efficiency of 20.4 kmpl.
Diesel lovers can opt for the 1.5L TDCi engine which delivers 100 PS peak power and 215 Nm of torque while providing a fuel economy of 26.1 kmpl. This engine is coupled to a 5-speed manual transmission.
Ford is also introducing its latest six-speed Automatic Transmission on the new Ford Aspire. This gearbox is paired to the latest 1.5L Petrol, three-cylinder engine. This powertrain delivers a peak power of 123 PS and 150 Nm of torque.
Changes to the exterior of the new Ford Aspire sedan include a redesigned front fascia which features a dynamic three-dimensional cellular grille. The compact sedan also gets new fog lamps that are encrusted in a premium chrome surrounding and harmoniously integrated into the front bumper. Headlamps now feature a black encasing that looks sporty. The car also receives new tail lamps as well. The new Aspire now rides on bigger 15-inch wheels.
Inside, the Ford Aspire facelift model features beige interiors. The seats have been updated to provide better support and the car gets a central armrest with two integrated cup or bottle holders in the rear.
The compact sedan is now offered with Ford’s latest in-car infotainment system, SYNC 3 with a 6.5-inch touchscreen which allows drivers to control their entertainment and connected smartphone using voice commands. The system is also compatible with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto.
Other features on the facelift Aspire include automatic climate control system, two USB slots, push-button start/stop, electrochromic IRVM, reverse parking camera, rain-sensing wipers and automatic headlamps among many others.
Dual airbags and Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) are equipped as standard across all variants of the Aspire while the top of the line variant Titanium+ is offered with six airbags. The automatic variant also gets Hill Launch Assist (HLA), Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and Traction Control System (TCS).
The Ford Aspire comes with a five-year or 100,000 KM warranty, which includes 2-year factory warranty and 3-year extended warranty. Ford also claims that it offers lowest scheduled service and maintenance costs in its segment – at just 38 paise per kilometre for petrol and 46 paise per kilometre for diesel over 100,000 KM.
