The new Ducati Scrambler 1100 draws its inspiration from the iconic ’70s model while remaining faithful to the “Land of Joy” spirit. The new motorcycles are larger than the other Ducati Scrambler brand models. The bike’s balanced proportions make it compact yet beefy and ensure outstanding rider comfort as well as unprecedented handling.
The Ducati Scrambler 1100 motorcycles are equipped with a new L-Twin, Desmodromic distribution, 2 valves per cylinder, air cooled – 1079 cc engine. This motor delivers a power of 85 bhp @ 7,500 rpm while and a torque of 88 Nm @ 4,750 rpm. The engine is coupled to a 6-speed gearbox with slipper clutch.
The Ducati Scrambler 1100 Standard and Special versions are equipped with 45 mm Marzocchi inverted front fork with preload and rebound damping adjustability, while at the rear the motorcycles are fitted Kayaba mono-shock with rebound and preload adjustability.
The Ducati Scrambler 1100 comes with an under-seat twin-exhaust setup. The alternator, clutch, and engine covers get an aluminium finish. The seat is more generously shaped than its Scrambler 800 counterpart and has been designed to provide the utmost comfort for rider and passenger alike. The motorcycle has been designed for an aggressive riding position so gets farther-pushed handlebar and rear-set foot-pegs.
In addition to the Scrambler 1100, the bike comes with two more versions – Scrambler 1100 Special and Scrambler 1100 Sport. The Special version draws its inspiration from the custom world and comes with spoked wheels for a retro Scrambler look. It also gets lower bars, chromed exhaust headers, a brown leather quilted seat and a brushed swing arm.
The Scrambler 1100 Sport comes equipped with adjustable Ohlins suspension for the sportiest Scrambler riders and shares its wheels with the standard model, but has some extra machining on the spokes, and does away with the Marzocchi forks and Kayaba monoshock in favour of fully adjustable Ohlins bouncers.
The Scrambler 1100 motorcycles are equipped with dual 330 mm discs at the front with Brembo M4.32B Monobloc 4-piston callipers and a 245 mm rear disc brake with a single-piston calliper.
In perfect Scrambler style, the 1100 also comes with new, specially designed accessories and a dedicated apparel line. The new Ducati Scrambler 1100 is available in ’62 Yellow and Shining Black colour, with the Sport and Special in their own dedicated Viper Black and Custom Grey with yellow highlights on the tank colour schemes respectively.
