India Yamaha Motor (IYM) Pvt. Ltd. has introduced another edition to its Cygnus Ray ZR scooter series with the launch of the ‘Street Rally’ Edition in India. The Yamaha Ray ZR Street Rally Edition draws design inspiration from the company’s globally reputed two-wheeler models.
The new Yamaha Cygnus Ray ZR Street Rally edition is available in two different colours – Rally Red and Racing Blue. It features a newly designed Wing Style front fairing which has been inspired from Yamaha MT-09. This while serving as the wind deflector will also enhance the sporty look.
The scooter also gets new Knuckle Guards which protects from windblasts on the handle grip and the movable front fender protects from mud splatter. It features a Rising Air Tail design with a raised seat and sporty looking grab rails. The Ray ZR Street Rally edition also comes with an edgy looking tail lamp, sporty mirrors and fully digital meter.
Power for the Yamaha Cygnus Ray ZR Street Rally Edition comes from an air-cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC, 2-valve, 113cc engine with Blue Core technology. It is mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT) unit, which provides both smooth initial acceleration and pickup. The motor produces 7.2 PS @ 7500 rpm and 8.1 Nm @ 5000 rpm.
At the front, the sporty scooter gets 170 mm diameter front disc brake while the rear gets a drum brake. The two-wheeler comes with 10-inch alloy wheels and offers 21 litres of under seat storage space. It also has pockets in the front which is big enough to fit a 500 ml bottle.

The scooter will be priced at INR 57,898 (ex-showroom Delhi) and will be available at all authorized Yamaha dealerships from last week of July 2018.
