Ford has launched the facelifted model of the Everest in India. The SUV is sold in India under the Endeavour branding. The new 2019 Ford Everest features slight cosmetic changes and gets changes to its equipment list and a new engine line up.
In terms of look, the new 2019 Ford Everest is very similar to the previous model and gains very subtle changes. It now features a new front grille with three horizontal slats. The front bumper has been slightly revised as well. The SUV also gets newly designed alloy wheels.
The new Everest is now equipped with passive keyless entry and push start/stop button. The SUV also gets a foot-activated power tailgate. Ford has also introduced an Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) system which can detect vehicles and pedestrians ahead of the vehicle.
The new Ford Everest is now powered by two new engines. The first unit is a 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine which churns out 180 PS and 420 Nm of torque. The second motor is a 2.0-litre bi-turbo diesel engine that generates 213 PS and 500 Nm of torque. Both the engines are mated to a new 10-speed automatic gearbox. The SUV is also offered with the optional 4X4 system.
Earlier the Ford Everest was equipped with a 2.2-litre turbocharged 4 cylinder diesel engine which produced 160 PS and 385 Nm of torque. The second option was a 3.2-litre turbocharged 5 cylinder diesel engine which produced 200 PS and 470 Nm of torque. These engines were coupled to a 6-speed automatic transmission.
