Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has launched the 2018 Honda Aviator in India. The scooter is priced at INR 55,157 (ex-showroom, Delhi). It is available in three variants – standard, drum with alloy disc with alloy.
The 2018 Honda Aviator features LED headlamp with LED daytime running lights (DRL), 4-in-1 ignition switch with seat opener switch, retractable front & rear hooks, and metal muffler protector.
It also comes with a blue-backlit instrument cluster and brown coloured seat and inner covers. Customers can also opt for a mobile charging socket which will be placed in the under seat storage.
2018 Honda Aviator Colours:
The updated Honda Aviator comes with a new Pearl Spartan Red shade along with the existing colours which include Matte Selene Silver Metallic, Pearl Amazing White and Pearl Igneous Black.
The 2018 Honda Aviator is powered by the same 109 cc, single-cylinder, engine which produces 8 bhp of power at 7,000 rpm and a torque of 9 Nm at 5,500 rpm. This motor is mated to a V-Matic transmission. At the front, the scooter gets a 12-inch wheel while the rear gets a 10-inch rear wheel which is fitted with 90/100-section tubeless tires.
Suspension duty is done by telescopic forks at the front and spring loaded hydraulic shock absorbers at the rear. Stopping power comes from 130 mm drum brakes at both the ends with an option for a 190 mm front disc brake as well. CBS (combined braking system) comes as standard. The new Aviator is claimed to reach a top speed of 82 km/h.
