The upcoming Renault MPV has been spotted for the first time, images of which were shared on the HV Kumar Facebook Group by a member called Jerrin V Jose. The new MPV will measure under 4 meters and will be based on the CMF-A+ platform, which is a derivative of the CMF-A platform that underpins the Renault Kwid.

The design of the MPV could be inspired by the latest offering from Renault such as the Scenic and the new Megan estate. While the test vehicle was fully camouflaged, details such as Renault’s signature trapezoidal grille design which extends up to the sleek headlamps can be expected. The MPV also seems to get LED DRLS which are mounted on the front bumper near the fog lamp housing.

The rear image doesn’t reveal much but we do get to see a thing bumper which suggests that the loading lip will be lower and ease adding or removal of luggage from the cargo area. Tail lamps too seem to be of a split type.

Renault could launch this MPV by the end of the year 2018. The company also plans to bring out a compact SUV based on the same platform. This new model could be launched in the year 2019. While a Renault Kwid based EV is also in the pipeline and should make it to Indian roads by the year 2020.
