Triumph Motorcycles India has launched the brand-new Tiger 1200 XCX in the country. The all-new Tiger 1200 XCX is the most advanced Tiger model ever from the company.
This motorcycle is the latest addition to a legendary bloodline that began 80 years ago and has been purpose-built to handle the ultimate in on-road adventures and off-road challenges.
The new Triumph Tiger 1200 gets over 100 improvements over the previous generation of motorcycles. It has been engineered to improve manoeuvrability and better off-road agility and handling. The new motorcycles are up to 10kg lighter than the previous generation. This is thanks to the weight savings achieved across the engine, chassis and exhaust components.
The engine also gets a few upgrades for more immediate power delivery and feel. The Triumph Tiger 1200 XCX is powered by a 1215 cc in-line three-cylinder motor which produces 141 PS at 9350 rpm and 122 Nm of peak torque at 7600 rpm. The engine is coupled to a six-speed manual transmission and also gets Triumph Shift Assist which provides seamless clutchless up and down gearshifts that facilitates silky smooth gear changes and significantly reduces rider fatigue.
The Triumph Tiger 1200 XCX also comes with new all-LED lightning, Adaptive Cornering Lighting, Adjustable full-colour TFT Instrument cluster, ergonomically-designed backlit switchgear, keyless ignition. The motorcycle also comes with “Off Road Pro” mode, with a choice of up to six riding modes and even gets updated cruise control.
In terms of look, the Triumph Tiger 1200 XCX comes with a premium bodywork and new cast and spoked wheels. It also gets metallised tank badge and side panels long with contemporary graphics. The adventure bike is offered in Crystal White, Matt Khaki and Jet Black colours.
The Tiger 1200 XCX rides on the Triumph Semi-Active Suspension incorporating WP adjustable front and rear suspension. It is equipped with Brembo Monobloc 4-piston radial callipers and integrated braking system.
Other features on this motorcycle include Hill hold control, Electrically adjustable touring screen Inertial Measurement Unit, Optimised cornering ABS, Optimised cornering traction control, Ride-by-wire throttle, Advanced onboard computer & immobiliser and Heated grips & heated rider and pillion seats. It also comes with two 12V and one USB power sockets.
