Tata Motors has introduced the much awaited Tata Nexon AMT variant with HyprDrive Self-Shift Gears. The 6-speed automatic gearbox is available for both the petrol and diesel models.
The Tata Nexon HyprDrive Self-Shift Gears is the first AMT option in India to have Multi- Drive modes (3 modes – ECO, CITY, SPORT) in both automatic and the manual tip-tronic transmission. It also comes with the lowest turning circle radius of 5.1m with EPAS (Electric Power assisted steering).
The SUV will be available in both Petrol and Diesel options. The petrol Nexon is powered by the 1.2L turbocharged Revotron while the diesel model is equipped with the 1.5L turbocharged Revotorq motor.
The petrol Nexon AMT variant produces 110 PS at 5000 rpm and 170 Nm at 1750-4000 rpm. The diesel Nexon AMT model churns out 110 PS at 3750 rpm and 260 Nm at 1500-2750 rpm.
The Tata Nexon AMT is equipped with an intelligent transmission controller, which includes features such as anti-stall, kick-down and fast-off. It also comes with a manual tip-tronic mode to let shift gears manually while enjoying clutch-free driving.
The Nexon HyprDrive Self-Shift Gears comes with the new Etna Orange colour with a Sonic Silver dual-tone roof option. The SUV will also be offered with a wearable PEPS Key, which will allow customers to wear their car key smartly as a wristband and enjoy hassle-free access and ignition.
The Nexon is equipped with standard safety features like dual frontal airbags and ABS with electronic brakeforce distribution in all wheels. The spacious cabin along with a 350L boot space and rear 60:40 seat split to store extra luggage, makes it a complete package for longdistance fun trips. The SUV also boasts of a best-in-class ground clearance of 209 mm.
Additionally, the Nexon HyprDrive Self-Shift Gears also comes with a class-leading infotainment system. It gets a 6.5” floating dash-top touchscreen infotainment with next-gen smartphone connectivity with Android Auto and an exclusively tuned 8-speaker system from Harman-Kardon.
