Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd., a subsidiary of two-wheeler manufacturer, Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan has launched its first sub-1000cc big-bike, GSX-S750 in India. The GSX-S750 is Suzuki’s second ‘Make-in-India’ big-bike after Hayabusa.
Suzuki says that the GSX-S750 which sports the DNA of GSX-R series, is the ‘Apex Predator’ that blends the aggressive street bike looks with a friendly riding character.
The Suzuki GSX-S750 is powered by a 749cc four-cylinder fuel-injection 4-Stroke, DOHC Liquid-Cooled engine engine that produces 84kW @10,500rpm and 81Nm @9,000rpm. This motor has been specially tuned and refined to maximise its potential on the streets and on winding roads. The motor is mated to a six-speed gearbox.
Meticulously designed bodywork, featuring a chiselled fuel tank, vented front fender, light rear fender, molded mirrors, and angular tail section with integrated LED taillight. Every aspect of the GSX-S750 speaks of raw power, predictable performance and functional beauty that defines a true apex predator.
“We had made a commitment to launch several new and premium products every year for the Indian-market. GSX-S750 is not just the first new offering from Suzuki for the new financial year, but is also our first-product in the sub-1000cc big-bike segment. As our second CKD model in India, we are confident that the GSX-S750 will further strengthen the ‘GSX’ brand, which is Suzuki’s DNA in motorcycles,” said Mr. Satoshi Uchida, Managing Director, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd. said,
Further, ensuring a greater riding confidence is the three-mode traction control system that ensures superior control over engine output helping prevent rear wheel spin. Mode One is for sport riding, Mode Two for typical road conditions and, Mode Three delivers maximum traction control when riding in poor conditions. The compact Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) by NISSIN further firms-up the rider’s grip on road, while keeping a check on weight.
The Suzuki GSX-S750 is equipped with Bridgestone BATTLAX HYPERSPORT S21 tyres, KYB inverted front forks and a customisable lightweight, brightness-adjustable LCD instrument panel amongst other features.
In terms of features, the motorcycle gets aggressive-looking headlight design and fang-shaped position lights directly from the GSX-S1000. It also comes with Easy Start System, Control switches on the tapered handlebar, Suzuki Dual Throttle Valve (SDTV), Suzuki’s digital ignition system, Idle Speed Control (ISC) and Low RPM Assist.
