2018 Kawasaki Ninja 400 launched in India; Priced at INR 4.69 Lakh

India Kawasaki Motors has launched much awaited 2018 Kawasaki Ninja 400 in the country. The sports bike is priced at INR 4.69 Lakh. The Ninja 400 will be available only in green colour which is a KRT edition and it will be assembled in Kawasaki’s factory in Chakan, Pune.

Kawasaki says that the lightweight, sharp-looking, high-performance, sport model offers excitement and ease of riding to a wide range of customers. The new Kawasaki Ninja 400 is said to deliver greater performance than its predecessor thanks to an all-new powerful engine and lighter chassis.

2018 Kawasaki Ninja 400 Price:

The new Ninja 400 is priced at INR 4,69,000/- (ex-showroom Delhi). Kawasaki is offering the motorcycle with an exclusive launch offer for limited customers if bookings are done in April 2018.

“Ninja 300 is mainly made for beginners and Ninja 650 is popular among experienced riders. However, Ninja 400 fits the bill for those who are willing to buy a sports bike between 300 and 650cc,” said Yutaka Yamashita, Managing Director of India Kawasaki Motors

“With the introduction of Ninja 400, we have created a good family of Ninja series. As of now, Ninja 400 will be available in limited numbers, because Ninja 300 is still our flagship model in India and it will be continued along with other Ninja models,” further added Mr. Yamashita.

2018 Kawasaki Ninja 400 Rear Quarter

The 2018 Kawasaki Ninja 400 is powered by a 399 cc engine which produces 49 PS at 10,000 rpm and torque of 38 Nm at 8,000 rpm. This engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The motorcycle also features a trellis frame similar in design to that of the mighty Ninja H2. It also gets a new swingarm Mounting Plate which allows the swing arm to be affixed to the rear of the engine thereby contributing to stability.

Other key features include 310 mm front petal brake disc which is said to be largest in class, at the rear the bike gets 220 mm petal disc brakes. The motorcycle comes equipped with 41mm front forks and Bottom-Link Uni-Trak, gas-charged shock with adjustable preload suspension at the rear. It rides on 17-inch wheels fitted with 110-section and 150-section tyres at front and rear respectively.

The new Ninja 400 boasts futuristic new Ninja styling inspired by the mighty Kawasaki Ninja H2. Chin spoilers at the bottom of the front cowl were inspired by the Ninja H2 and Ninja ZX-10R. The LED taillight design is inspired by the 2016 Ninja ZX- 10R. The Ninja 400 is equipped with the same instrument cluster as the Ninja 650. In a nutshell, Ninja 400 has got many features inspired by its elder brothers.
