Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has issued a recall for the Aviator, Activa 125 and the newly launched Grazia. A total of 56,194 units which have been manufactured between February 7, 2018, to March 16, 2018, are said to be affected by this issue. All three of these scooters are powered by Honda’s 125cc engine and are equipped with a front telescopic fork.
According to the official statement, the company has identified a suspected quality issue of excessive hardness in “Bolt Flange 10X42” mounted in the front fork of these scooters. As a precautionary measure will voluntarily inspect these models. Honda will replace the suspected part, if required, on Free of Cost basis irrespective of the affected vehicle’s Warranty Status.
Honda has said that the owners of these affected scooters will be notified via call/ e-mail / SMS to get their scooter inspected at their nearest authorized Honda 2 wheeler service centre.
