Audi India has launched the second generation of the RS 5 Coupe in the country. The 2018 Audi RS 5 Coupe has been priced at INR 1.10 Crore (ex-showroom) and is imported to India in CBU form from Ingolstadt, Germany.
The 2018 Audi RS 5 Coupe is powered by an all-new 2.9-litre TFSI V6 petrol bi-turbo engine. This motor has been co-developed with Porsche. The engine generates 450 PS at 5700-6700 rpm and 600 Nm of torque at 1900-5000 rpm. It is mated to an 8-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission.
The new Audi RS 5 Coupe comes with Quattro permanent AWD system with self-locking centre differential as standard. The sports car also features dynamic steering and RS sport suspension. The 2018 Audi RS 5 Coupe can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds and has an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h. However, the top speed can be increased to 280 km/h with the R Dynamic Package. The car is said to deliver a claimed mileage of 10.8 kmpl.
The exterior of the second generation Audi RS 5 Coupe is said to be inspired by the Audi 90 Quattro IMSA GTO. The gran turismo measures 4723 mm in length, 1360 mm in height and 1861 mm wide. It now features a wider and flatter Singleframe grille with Quattro and RS5 branding. The bumpers are equipped with additional air inlets as well. The sports car also features Matrix LED headlights, 19-inch 10 star design aluminium forged wheels which are wrapped in 265/35 R19 tyres and housed in wheel arches which care now 15 mm wider.
The new RS 5 Coupe gets the Audi Exclusive black styling package with black ORVM housing as standard. Customers can also opt for the Matt aluminium and Carbon styling packages which are available as an option. The car comes with RS-specific diffuser insert and oval tailpipes.
Enter the new Audi RS 5 Coupe and you will be greeted with an extremely high standard and sportily equipped interior. The Special RS displays in the Audi virtual cockpit provide information on tire pressure, torque and g-forces. The RS design package brings the sporty contrast colour red into play on the center console as well as on the armrests, the seat belts and the floor mats with RS logo.
The steering wheel, selector lever and knee pads are all covered with Alcantara. The Sonoma green design package from Audi exclusive enriches the interior with appropriately coloured contrasting stitching – perfect for the new, exclusive exterior colour.
