Tata Motors has launched the Nexon XZ variant in India. This new variant sits below the XZ+ trim and is priced at INR 7.99 Lakh for the petrol model and INR 8.99 Lakh for the diesel model.
In terms of features, the Tata Nexon XZ comes with projector headlights height adjustable driver’s seat and seatbelts, day/night IRVM, electric folding rear view mirrors, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, cooled glove box, floating touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto support, voice command & alerts, 8-speakers from Harman and reverse parking camera. Dual airbags, ABS with EBD are standard across all variants.
When compared to the top of the line XZ+ trim, the XZ model loses out on some features which include LED daytime running lights, dual-tone roof, alloy wheels, front and rear fog lamps, front and rear centre armrests, 60:40 split-folding rear seats, push start stop button and rear defogger.
Mechanically, there are no changes and the Tata Nexon continues to be powered by the 1.2 L, three-cylinder petrol engine which makes 110PS and 170Nm and the 1.5 L four-cylinder diesel engine which generates 110PS and 260Nm. Both engines are mated to a six-speed manual. An AMT equipped model will soon be launched in the near future.
