Tata Nexon production has crossed the 25,000 mark. The compact SUV is manufactured at the Ranjangaon facility. The Nexon was launched in India in September 2017. Tata Motors has also launched the Nexon in Nepal as well.
The Nexon is the fourth product to be based on the IMPACT design philosophy from Tata Motors. It is sold in 4 trims levels – XE, XM, XT & XZ+ and is available with both petrol and diesel variants. Soon the company will also launch an automatic variant with a 6-speed AMT unit which was showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo.
The Tata Nexon petrol model gets its power from the 1.2L, turbocharged, Revotron engine. This motor develops 110 PS of power and 170 Nm of torque. The diesel variant is powered by the 1.5 L turbocharged Revotorq engine. This motor churns out 110 PS of power and 260 Nm of torque. Both engines are mated to a 6-Speed manual transmission.
Some of the key features of the Tata Nexon SUV include first-in-segment Multi Drive Mode – Eco, City and Sport, 6.5-inch display HD touchscreen floating display, advanced Harman infotainment system with 8 speakers and Android Auto and Apple Car Play connectivity options.
The SUV is also equipped with Projector Headlamps with integrated Daytime Running Lights, Rear Split LED Tail Lamps, Signature Ivory white accents, Contrast Roof and 16-inch machine-cut alloy wheels. The Nexon also features Automatic Climate Control, Smart Key, Push-Button Start and Grand Central Console which is inspired by luxury cars.
Safety features include ABS with EBD, Dual Frontal Airbags, Energy Absorbing Body Structure, Adjustable Seatbelts, ISOFIX mounts and Reverse Parking Assist.
