The Porsche Mission E Cross Turismo presents a picture as to what a Turismo model with features of a crossover utility vehicle could look in series production. This car is aimed at people who like to spend their free time travelling, playing sport and pursuing other outdoor activities.

The Porsche Mission E Cross Turismo Concept measures 4.95 m in length, 1.99 m in width and 1.42 m in height. It has all the characteristic of a Porsche car and the body design has been inspired somewhat by the sports car icon Porsche 911 and the luxurious Panamera Sport Turismo. The off-road design elements include robust wheel arch protection and door sills, a striking front spoiler and lower rear and increased ground clearance.

Finished in an exclusively light grey metallic paintwork, the concept car features the brand’s typical four-point daytime running lights which have evolved into narrow, three-dimensional glass elements. These also contain an innovative four-point indicator light. The Mission E Cross Turismo Concept also gets high-performance full beams with Porsche X-Sight technology. The car rides on 20-inch wheels with 275/40 R 20 tyres.

At the rear, we see the continuous light strip is a typical feature of the newer Porsche cars. The luminescent white Porsche logo is composed of glass letters embedded in a three-dimensional cover with a circuit board design. The letter ‘E’ in the logo pulsates while charging and the circuit board is brought to life by pulses of light. The concept car also comes fitted with large panoramic glass roof extending from the windscreen to the boot lid.

Inside, the Porsche Mission E Cross Turismo Concept wing-shaped dashboard. The instrument panel is organised horizontally with an extra-wide display for the driver and front passenger. The freestanding instrument cluster is angled towards the driver and includes three circular display graphics with digital content on TFT screens and comes with eye tracking technology.

The concept car also features sporty seats with illuminated Porsche lettering. The door lining has innovative three-dimensional elements with a textured surface. The air vents and window lift get anodised edges in Nordic Blue while the interior upholstery is done with aniline leather in black and light grey.

Porsche Mission E Cross Turismo Concept Charging 2018

The Porsche Mission E Cross Turismo Concept is powered by two permanent magnet synchronous motors (PSM) with a system output of more than 600 hp (440 kW). This all-electric four-door vehicle can accelerate to 100 km/h in less than 3.5 seconds and reach a speed of 200 km/h in under 12 seconds.

The 800-volt architecture of the Porsche Mission E Cross Turismo Concept ensures that the lithium-ion battery can be charged for a range of around 250 miles (400 km) in just over 15 minutes.

The battery of the Porsche Mission E Cross Turismo can also be replenished using induction, a charging station or a Porsche home energy storage system which is compatible with solar power generated by domestic photovoltaic systems.

The Mission E Cross Turismo Concept also features on-demand all-wheel drive with Porsche Torque Vectoring, Adaptive air suspension which increases the ground clearance by up to 50 millimetres and Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC). The car also comes with Porsche Connect and a software called DestinationsApp
