Mahindra KUV100 Trip variant launched at INR 5.16 Lakh in India; Aimed at Fleet Operators

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M) has launched the KUV100 Trip, a new variant of its compact SUV, KUV100. The Mahindra KUV100 Trip is ideally suited for fleet and business owners and will be available in both Bi-Fuel (Petrol & CNG) and diesel mFalcon engine options. It is priced at INR 5.16 lakh for Bi-Fuel variant and INR 5.42 lakh for diesel variant (both prices ex-showroom Delhi).

The KUV100 Trip is said to offer a unique proposition of seating up to 6 people. The CNG cylinder has a capacity of 60-litre and is stored in the boot of the car. The Trip variant is based on the pre-facelift model and has ABS as standard. It is also equipped with a speed governor which limits the speed to 80 km/h as per the new government guidelines for commercial vehicles.

The petrol and CNG model of the KUV100 Trip is powered by the 1.2-litre mFalcon G80 engine which comes with Multi Point Fuel Injection (MPFI) and Dual Variable Valve Timing. When running on petrol it generates 82 bhp at 5500 rpm and 70 hp when running on CNG. It also makes 115 Nm of torque at 3500-3600 rpm. This motor is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

The diesel KUV100 gets its power from the mFalcon D75 engine which develops 77 bhp at 3750 rpm and 190 Nm of torque at 1750-2250 rpm. This engine also comes equipped with a 5-speed transmission.

Mahindra will be making the KUV100 Trip available with customized and attractive finance options with low down payment and attractive EMIs. The company will also offer an attractive AMC package which is said to bring the running cost to around INR 0.35-0.40 per km. An extended warranty of 5 years will also be offered at a very attractive price says the company.
