Harley-Davidson India has introduced two new models to the Softail portfolio – Harley-Davidson Low Rider and Harley-Davidson Deluxe. The company has also launched the Fat Boy Anniversary Edition in India.
The frame of the 2018 Softail models is 65% stiffer than the outgoing design. Its design also achieves reduced complexity. There are two unique swingarms on offer, one for narrow and one for wide rear tires.
A new high stiffness carbon steel tubular frame forms the core of the 2018 Softail chassis and combined with the swingarm significantly increases the rigidity of the chassis. The frame itself is 65% stiffer than the outgoing Softail design, which leads to a 34% increase in overall chassis stiffness. with a 50% reduction in component parts and 22% reduction in welds.
The bikes also receive high-performance dual-bending valve front suspension and easy to adjust rear mono shock rear suspension. The motorcycles are up to 17kg lighter than before and are powered by the new Milwaukee-Eight 107 engines.
2018 Harley-Davidson Low Rider:
The styling of the Low Rider is inspired by the tradition of individualism of 1970’s. The motorcycle features throwback-style dual tank mount speedo and tach gauges, headlight visor and fuel tank graphics.
The bike runs on 19-inch front and 16-inch rear Radiate cast wheels and gets 2-into-2 Shotgun exhaust along with dual-channel standard dual-channel ABS.

The new Softail Low Rider is priced at INR 12,99,000 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).
2018 Harley-Davidson Deluxe:
Show-stopping, old-school glam, Deluxe is a nostalgic boulevard custom that turns heads. It features 16-inch chrome laced wheels with whitewall tyres, Retro-Modern Styled LED lighting from front to back pull-back handlebar and 2-into2 Shorty exhaust. It also comes with dual-channel ABS as standard.

The new Softail Deluxe is priced at INR 17,99,000 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).
2018 Harley-Davidson Fat Boy 114 Anniversary Edition:
The Harley-Davison brand enters its 115 year and to celebrate the occasion, the company has launched the Fat Boy 114 Anniversary Edition. It comes in two exclusive colours – Legend Blue/ Vivid Black, and Legend Blue Denim.
The motorcycle is powered by the 1868 cc twin cylinder Milwaukee-Eight 114 engine. This engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission.
