TVS Motor Company has launched the new 2018 TVS Apache RTR 160 4V motorcycle in India. It is priced from INR 81,490 (ex-showroom Delhi). The company says this product will set a new benchmark in its segment.

The new TVS Apache RTR 160 4V was created taking inputs from the Group B RTR 165 which is the six-time Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship (INMRC) winning motorcycle. The bike is available in both Carburetor and EFI variants, with the latter christened as TVS Apache RTR 160 Fi 4V.
The TVS Apache RTR 160 4V is equipped with a 159.7 cc, single-cylinder, 4stroke, 4-valve, oil-cooled engine. The EFI variant makes 16.8 PS @8000 rpm and 14.8 Nm @ 6500 rpm, while the carb model produces 16.5 PS @8000 rpm and 14.8 Nm @ 6500 rpm. The engine is coupled to a 5-speed gearbox.

The TVS Apache RTR 160 4V has the most powerful engine in the 160cc segment. It can reach up to a top speed of 114 km/h (EFI) / 113 kmph (Carb). The motorcycle can accelerate from 0-60 km/h in 4.8 seconds(EFI) / 4.73 seconds (Carb).
TVS Apache RTR 160 4V is built on the TVS Motor Company patented Double-cradle Split Synchro Stiff Frame Design. The mono-shock suspension has been engineered and precision-tuned by Showa-Japan and with inputs from TVS Racing riders. TVS Apache RTR 160 Fi 4V comes with both rear and front disc brakes while the Carburetor model is available in Disc and Drum variants.

The design of the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V is inspired by the Draken Concept and looks similar to the Apache RTR 200 4V. It features a chiselled body and a sleek tail end. The motorcycle also features a fully-digital speedometer, an aggressive headlamp with DRL, chiselled body and a sleek, sharp tail. The fuel tank gets chequered flag decals, a fitting homage to its winning streak on the race track.

The motorcycle is available in three stunning colours, namely, Racing Red, Metallic Blue and Knight Black.
TVS will also bring Apache Experience activities for the RTR 160 4V owners. This will consist of Apache Racing Experience, One Make Championship, Apache Owners Groups and Factory Tour Programme.
