TVS Motors has launched the much awaited ABS variant of the RTR 200 4V in India. It is not available in the FI variant. The TVS Apache RTR 200 4V ABS is Priced at 1.07 Lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
The TVS Apache RTR 200 4V ABS also comes with optional race-spec Pirelli tyres for added performance which cost an additional INR 5000. It is fitted with Remora tyres as standard.
The TVS Apache RTR 200 4V ABS is equipped with a dual-channel ABS unit. It also comes with Rear Wheel Lift-off Protection (RLP) control which offers quick detection and recovery of the wheel lock achieving higher stability through precise close-loop slip control. The ABS unit was developed through extensive development on the race track by TVS Motors.
Mechanically and cosmetically there are no changes on the motorcycle. It only gets an ABS sticker on the front fender. The TVS Apache RTR 200 4V ABS is powered by a 197.75 cc single cylinder oil-cooled engine which produces 20.5 PS at 8500 rpm and a torque of 18.1 Nm at 7000 rpm. The motor is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
