Toyota Kirloskar Motor has unveiled its most anticipated launch this year – The Yaris sedan, at the Auto Expo 2018. With the introduction of the Toyota Yaris, the Japanese auto manufacturer marks its entry into the highly competitive B-segment in India.
The Toyota Yaris is built on the brand’s philosophy of QDR (Quality, Durability & Reliability). It is a world-class sedan which offers distinctive design, spaciousness, quality and comfort comparable to higher class vehicles. The Toyota Yaris recently received 5-star safety ratings from the New Car Assessment Program for Southeast Asian Countries
The Yaris is named after the Greek goddess Charis who embodies Beauty and Elegance. The model has gained an international reputation for its five distinctive attributes – advanced and emotional design, expansive comfort, superior ride quality and quietness, dynamic efficiency and class-leading safety and technology.
The Toyota Yaris sports sleek Projector Headlamps, Wide Lower Grill, LED Line Guide in Headlamp & Tail Lamps along with huge LED Rear Combi Lamps. It also gets front and rear fog lamps. The interior gets a dual tone finish in black and beige. The Instrumental Panel gets a waterfall design. There will be a Rear Armrest with Cupholders, Rear Sunshade, Leather Upholstery with perforations and all passengers will get adjustable headrest.
The Toyota Yaris for India will be powered by a 1.5 L Dual VVT-i Gasoline Engine and will come mated to 6-Speed Manual Transmission or a 7-Speed Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) which will come with paddle shifters. The car will come with disc brakes on all 4 wheels.
When launched the top end variant will be fully loaded with features such as 7 SRS Airbags (first in segment), Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD), Tire-Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), Vehicle Stability Control, Hill-Start Assist Control, Front & Rear Parking Sensor, Impact Sensing Door Unlock and ISOFIX Child Seats
It will also come with Electrically adjustable Driver Seat, Roof mounted air vents with ambient illumination for rear passengers, Fuel Saving Calculator on MID, Touch Screen Navigation Audio system with Smart Phone Connectivity, Parking Sensor Display on MID and Optitron Meter with 4.2’’ TFT Display.
The Yaris sedan will also feature Push start-stop button, Rear Camera, Follow-me-home Headlamps, Automatic Headlamps, Cruise control, Rain-Sensing Wipers, Steering-mounted Audio & MID Controls and High Solar Energy-Absorbing (HSEA), IR cut, Acoustic & Vibration Control Glass for Windshield and Doors for a quieter cabin.
2018 Toyota Yaris Launch Date:
Booking for the Yaris sedan will start by April 2018 and launch should follow soon after.
