Skoda Auto has unveiled the new top of the line Skoda Kodiaq L&K which will make its debut at the International Motor Show 2018 in Geneva. The top version of the Kodiaq SUV comes with individual design and extensive comfort features.
The L&K equipment line is named after the company’s founders Laurin and Klement. The Skoda Kodiaq L&K features a chrome grille with vertical slats, 19-inch ‘Sirius’ alloy wheels and modified rear bumper. The front wheel arches feature badges with the words ‘Laurin & Klement’.The SUV also features full LED headlights.
Inside, the luxurious SUV gets leather upholstery and piano-black decorative trim. The three-spoke multifunction leather steering wheel is optionally available in black or beige leather trim. A subtle ‘Laurin & Klement’ logo can be found on the seats as well as on the trim strips of the instrument panel.
The L&K logo also appears on the home screen of the infotainment system. The standard equipment of the Skoda Kodiaq L&K includes an electrically adjustable driver’s seat including memory function, door sills with ‘KODIAQ’ logo, aluminium pedals, textile floor mats, rain sensor, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, ambient lighting and the CANTON sound system.
The Skoda Kodiaq L&K brings with it a new engine range. It now includes a 1.5-liter TSI engine providing 150 hp and the 2.0 TSI engine’s output has increased from180 hp to 190 hp. The new petrol drivetrains also feature particulate filters to reduce particulate emissions and the latest generation 7-speed DSG gearbox.
The 2.0 TDI engine with 150 hp is also making its debut with the Skoda Kodiaq L&K. Another 2.0 TDI drive with 190 hp completes the engine range.
The 2.0 TSI and the 2.0 TDI engines come with 4×4 drive as standard while it is available as an option for the other two motors as well. The all-wheel-drive variants of the Skoda Kodiaq L&K also have Adaptive Chassis Control DCC (Dynamic Chassis Control) as an option.
