Toyota Kirloskar Motor has showcased the all-new Land Cruiser Prado at the Auto Expo 2018. Currently, the prototype of this SUV is undergoing evaluation by testing agencies and type approval certificate is awaited. Soon after, it will be launched in India and pricing for the same will be revealed.
One of the most celebrated off-roader globally, the Toyota Prado in its renewed avatar comes with robust exteriors, impressive and highly functional interiors while maintaining the legendary toughness and substance of the SUV.
The all-new Toyota Land Cruiser Prado is a radical evolution towards a more modern and advanced impression. The SUV is built on the iconic heritage of QDR [Quality, Durability, and Reliability] leadership and the rich heritage of Toyota’s unconquerable SUVs.
The new Prado features an imposing Hood and Radiator Grille design, All new LED Headlamps and LED tail lamps and redesigned front and rear bumpers. It also gets new fenders along with 19-inch Alloy Wheels, ORVM with Puddle lamp and new license plate garnish.
The SUV also comes with a new Steering Wheel, newly designed combi-meter and center console.
Also included is Robust and Modern seat upholstery and ornaments, Driver and passenger seat ventilation and heating and Illuminated Entry System. The interior also comes in new colours and gets painted inside door handles.
Powering the new Toyota Land Cruiser Prado is the D-4D diesel engine with Intercooler Turbocharger which makes 173 PS @ 3400 RPM and a torque of 410 Nm @ 1600-2800 RPM. The engine is mated to 4 Wheel Drive 5 Speed Automatic transmission.
Other features of the new Prado include ABS with EBD and Brake Assist. It also comes with 7 airbags, Whiplash Injury Lessening Headrest, Vehicle Stability Control, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, Angle sensor in Intrusion sensor and Immobilizer. Off-road feature includes Crawl Control, Multi-Terrain Select, Multi-Terrain Monitor [4 Camera Surround Check] and Panoramic View Monitor.
2018 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado Colours:
The new Land Cruiser Prado will be available in three new Exterior Colours – Blackish Ageha, Avant-Garde Bronze and Vintage Brown Pearl apart from its existing colours – White Pearl, Silver Metallic, Grey Metallic, Attitude Black Metallic and Red Mica Metallic. It will also come with new Interior colours- Neutral Beige and Redwood apart from the existing Black colour.
