The new 2018 Mercedes-Benz C-Class has been unveiled. It will have its world premiere at the 88th International Motor Show next month in Geneva. The C-Class is the most successful model series from Mercedes-Benz and latest model boasts a wealth of enhancements.
The 2019 Mercedes-Benz C-Class gets a styling makeover for its exterior as well as the interiors. It also gets a completely new electronic architecture. The sedan features assistance systems which are now on a par with those of the S-Class luxury sedan.
The appearance of the latest Mercedes C-Class is defined by its new front end and the design of the headlamps and tail lights. The front bumpers have been redesigned for all variants. They feature a silver trim strip for the base model and get a chrome-plated trim strip in combination with AVANTGARDE exterior. The EXCLUSIVE exterior gets a three-part chrome trim strip. The C-Class AMG model features the diamond radiator grille as standard.
The new C-Class also get revised front and rear lamps which are now defined by clear-lined contours. High-quality, sculpted details underline the sophisticated look and feel. Also for the first time the Mercedes C-Class gets the optional MULTIBEAM LED headlamps with ULTRA RANGE high beam.
The interior looks and feels premium as well as sporty. The centre console is characterised by an elegant flowing trim which is available in open-pore Brown Walnut or open-pore Anthracite Oak. New interior colours include Magma Grey/Black and Saddle Brown for the AMG Line interior.
The new Mercedes-Benz C-Class adopts the control and display concept from the current S-Class. It also comes with the option of a fully digital instrument display with three individually selectable display styles. The sedan also features touch-sensitive controls in the steering wheel.
Another new feature for the C-Class is the ability to control the DISTRONIC and cruise control function directly from the steering wheel. The infotainment system can now be operated via the touchpad with a controller in the centre console or by means of LINGUATRONIC voice control.
The new Mercedes-Benz C-Class also comes equipped with the latest driving assistance systems. The new C-Class is now able to drive semi-autonomously in certain situations. It uses map and navigation data for assistance functions. The new function of the Active Steering Assist consists of Active Lane Change Assist and Active Emergency Stop Assist.
Customers can also opt for the Energizing Comfort Control for their new C-Class. This option links various comfort systems in the vehicle and uses the functions of the climate control system (including fragrancing) and the seats (heater, ventilation, massage) as well as lighting and musical moods, and enables a specific wellness set-up tailored to the mood and need of the customer.
