Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL), has launched its Super Performer Iconic Premium Compact – The new 2018 Hyundai Elite i20. The company also unveiled its Global EV, Ioniq at the Auto Expo 2018.

The design of The new 2018 Elite i20 follows an evolved premium look, sporty styling and a robust rear stance based on Hyundai Motor’s advanced design philosophy.
It features the brand’s new signature Cascade Front Grill in high gloss black finish, Projector Headlamps with LED DRL, Positioning and Cornering Lamps, Uniquely Designed Stylish Tail Lamps and 16-inch Diamond-cut Alloy Wheels.
The front and rear bumpers have been redesigned. It gets Front Air Curtains and two-tone finish for the rear bumper. The tailgate has also been restyled and now houses the number plate holder.
Inside, the cabin has been refreshed as well. It gets a 17.77 cm Touchscreen Infotainment System and Audio Video Navigation with IPS Display. This system is compatible with Apple CarPlay, AndroidAuto and Mirror Link. It also offers DRM Arkamys Sound Mood and Navigation for technology savvy customers. All black coloured interior with orange or red trims is offered only on the models with the dual tone exterior finish.
Other features inside the new i20 include Sliding Front Armrest, Rear Armrest with Cup holder, Fully Automatic Temperature Control with Cluster Ionizer, Rear AC Vent and Cooled Glovebox.
The Human Connected Technology – Hyundai Auto Link offers the owners of the new Hyundai Elite i20, a dynamic new way to stay connected with your car for vehicle health check, Driving information, Roadside assistance, Driving History, Eco Driving and Vehicle Health history check with a click of the button.
Powering the new Elite i20 is Hyundai’s 1.2 Kappa Dual VTVT Petrol engine and the 1.4 U2 CRDi Diesel engine. The Petrol variant develops 83 PS at 6000 RPM and 115 Nm of torque while the diesel model churns out 90 PS at 4000 RPM and 220 Nm of torque.
The petrol engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission while the diesel motor is coupled to a 6-speed manual gearbox. There is currently no automatic variant on offer
The new Hyundai Elite i20 is equipped with 6-Airbags Antilock Braking System (ABS), Speed Sensing Auto Door Lock, Impact Sensing Auto Door, Unlock and Reverse Parking Camera with Dynamic Guidelines for uncompromised safety.

The new Hyundai Elite i20 comes in 9 exterior colour options including three dual tone finishes Passion Orange, Fiery Red, Marina Blue, Stardust, Sleek Silver, Polar White, Passion Orange with Black Roof, Polar White with Black Roof, and Fiery Red with Black Roof.
