Mahindra Electric Mobility Limited, a part of Mahindra Group has unveiled the e-KUV100, all-electric version of the Mahindra KUV100 at the Auto Expo 2018.
The Mahindra e-KUV100 is claimed to be India’s first electric SUV. It is the third offering from the company in the passenger vehicle segment which includes the Mahindra eVerito and Mahindra e2oPlus.
In terms of exterior look, the Mahindra e-KUV100 looks almost similar to the regular KUV100 version. To distinguish the electric variant from the standard model designers have painted the vertical slats of the faux front grill. The same blue accent also is seen on the fog lamp. There is also a grey cladding on the top part of the bumper grill.
The prototype vehicle showcased also gets LED projector lamps which again gets a similar blue accent treatment. The alloy wheels are same as the regular variants but get a blue finish on one of the spokes. It also gets the Mahindra Electric badge on the fenders Rear too is same as the normal model and only gets an add-on tailgate garnish in grey. Inside too, the e-KUV100 has no changes.

Mahindra has not revealed any information regarding the specifications but it is said that the e-KUV100 has a driving range of over 140 km on a full charge. It also features fast charging which can charge the battery to 80% of its capacity in less than an hour.
When launched the Mahindra e-KUV100 will comes with several advanced features such as remote diagnostics, cabin pre-cooling, location tracking and smartphone connectivity. This electric vehicle is expected to enter the Indian auto market by the end of 2018 or early 2019.
