DC Design the famous customization studio known for creating the DC Avanti has introduced its new creation – HAMMER.
The DC Hammer is based on a Mahindra Thar. This modification will cost the vehicle owner INR 5.95 lakhs onwards. The Hammer will have a limited run and only 300 units will be produced.
DC has kept the Mahindra Thar’s DNA and added some bulk to the overall body. At the front, the signature grill styling of the Thar stays and is surrounded by round projector headlamps. It also gets additional LED lights below the main headlamp and also on the fenders. The front bumper has also been revised.
Moving to the side, we see how the whole body has been transformed to make the car look as if it has been training at the gym for ages. The rear fender gets a huge bulge and now gels smoothly with the rear quarter panel. The SUV also gets a fixed roof with a huge rear passenger window. There is also use of chrome around the handle and hinge areas.
The DC Hammer is finished in a glossy black and rides on deep dish wheels finished in chrome giving it a very retro look. At the rear, the customized Thar houses LED tail lamps and a spare wheel is mounted on the tailgate. The rear bumper has been redesigned as well.
Inside, the whole cabin is done in a shade of red. The dashboard, seats, steering center and door panels don the red colour while the center panel of the dashboard, steering trim and top part of the door get a wooden finish. Chrome has been used in certain areas too for providing a premium look. The roof has been lined with soft touch fabric and gets LED lighting. There is also a touchscreen infotainment offered as well with this modification.
