Maserati has launched its premium SUV Levante in India at a price of INR 1.45 Crore (ex-showroom). The new Maserati Levante also comes in additional trims, GranLusso and GranSport which have been priced at INR 1.48 Crore and INR 1.53 Crore, respectively.
The Maserati Levante sold in India is powered by a 3.0 litre Diesel V6 engine which produces 275 hp of peak power and 600 Nm of peak torque. This same engine also does duty on the Ghibli and the Quattroporte. The engine is equipped with Start-Stop and Maserati Active Sound system.
This motor is mated to an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission. It offers seven dedicated shift settings – Normal, Sport and Off-road in both automatic and manual mode and I.C.E. (Increased Control & Efficiency). The diesel Levante can accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in just 6.9 seconds and can reach a top speed of 230 km/h.
The Maserati Levante features Active Air Suspension, Q4 Intelligent All-Wheel Drive System, Electric Power Steering (EPS), Electric Air Shutter and Sport Skyhook System which continuously adapts shock absorber damping to suit the situation.
The interior of the Levante SUV is built around a driver interface that is intuitive, uncluttered and simple to use. It features large analogue gauges for the tachometer and speedometer, alongside a 77-inch TFT display. It also gets the 8.4-inch Maserati Touch Control Plus system in the center of the dashboard. This system supports both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto mirroring functions. The Levante is also offered with three world-class audio systems.
The Maserati Levante SUV also comes with a host of Advanced Driving Assistance Systems such as Traffic Sign Recognition, Highway Assist System (HAS), Adaptive Cruise Control With Stop and Go, Forward Collision Warning Plus, Lane Departure Warning System, Rear Cross Path Function, Lane Keeping Assist (LKA), Front And Rear Parking Sensors And Reversing Camera, Hill Holder, Hill Descent Control (HDC), Surround View Camera and Active Blind Spot Assist.
It also includes The Maserati Stability Program, Intelligent Bi-Xenon and Led Lights, Adaptive Front Lighting System (AFS), Tyre Pressure Monitoring System and Six Airbags.
The Maserati Levante Granlusso trim offers extra touches of luxury. The protection plates beneath the front bumper get a bold metallic finish while the roof rails have a metallic trim. The GranLusso badge is integrated into the front wings while the side skirts and other details are perfectly colour-matched with the rest of the exterior. The Granlusso variant rides on an imposing 19” Zefiro light alloy wheels while the brake callipers are finished in a striking black.
Inside, this variant offers front comfort seats with 12-way power adjustment and a memory function. Customers can choose from either full premium Italian leather or Zegna Silk upholstery, both complemented by Radica wood trim. And the power-adjustable steering wheel is finished in fine wood. The list also includes a Harman Kardon Premium Sound system, an advanced navigation system, front and rear parking sensors, power foot pedals and illuminated door sills.
The Maserati Levante Gransport gets the front grille finished in Black Piano or, optionally, in chrome. The protection plates beneath the front bumper and the roof rails have the same trim. The side skirts and other details are finished in the body colour. The GranSport badge appears on each front wing.
This variant of the SUV rides on 20-inch Nereo light alloy wheels and gets the brake callipers in red. The Trident in the front grille and wheel hubs, along with inserts in the C-pillar-mounted Saetta logo, are in a richly evocative blue.
Inside the GranSport trim offers front Sport seats, also with 12-way power adjustment and memory. In addition, there’s a power-adjustable Sport steering wheel with multi-function buttons, brushed chrome gearshift paddles and power foot pedals with the Inox Sport finish. The motorsport feel can be further intensified with a range of carbon trim choices. As for the day-to-day practicalities, the GranSport offers front and rear parking sensors and an advanced navigation system.
