BMW India has launched the 2018 BMW M5 in the country. The performance sedan was showcased at the Auto Expo 2018 and is priced from INR INR 1,43,90,000 (ex-showroom) onwards.
The all-new 2018 BMW M5 gets its power from a 4.4-litre V8 bi-turbo engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology. This motor produces 600 hp of power between 5600 to 6700 rpm and a torque of 750 Nm between 1800 rpm and 5600 rpm.
The new BMW M5 can reach 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds and 0 to 200 km/h in 11.1 seconds. Top speed is electronically controlled to 250 km/h but that can be increased to 305 km/h by opting for the M Driver’s Package. It comes with an 8-speed M Steptronic automatic transmission as standard.
Also for the first time, the high-performance sedan is equipped with M xDrive all-wheel-drive system. The suspension of has also been engineered to deliver both maximum traction for everyday use and supreme dynamic performance on the race track.
The 2018 BMW M5 gets M compound brakes as standard. The new exhaust system is also lighter and produces a sporty soundtrack with the help of the adjustable flap control system.
There will be a BMW M5 First Edition launched along with the standard M5. This special edition is limited to a run of 400 units for global consumption and is finished in an exclusive BMW Individual Frozen Dark Red Metallic paintwork.
