The New Range Rover Velar Launched in India; Priced from INR 78.83 Lakh

Land Rover has launched the much-awaited Range Rover Velar in India. The luxury SUV has been priced from INR 78.83 Lakh up to INR 1.37 Crore. Deliveries for the new Velar have already started.

The new Range Rover Velar is available in three powertrains, a 2.0L 4-cylinder 132 kW diesel, a 2.0L 4-cylinder 184 kW petrol, and a 3.0L V6 221 kW diesel. The new Velar SUV offers world-class refinement, all-terrain capability with exceptional performance. It is equipped with the intelligent torque-on-demand all-wheel-drive (AWD) system, Terrain Response 2 and All-Terrain Progress Control (ATPC).

The Range Rover Velar is positioned between the Range Rover Evoque and Range Rover Sport. I features sleek LED headlights along with a revolutionary design with foil-stamped grille and elegant sides. The SUV also comes with flush deployable door handles and integrated rear spoiler for improved aerodynamic efficiency. At the rear, the vehicle’s design is distinguished by quad LED tail light signature elements with the iconic Range Rover script.

Inside, the Velar features strong elegant horizontal lines which blends seamlessly with innovative features like the twin-screen, 10-iinch Touch Pro Duo infotainment system. Beautiful materials such as the optional Windsor leather with a signature Cut Diamond pattern throughout the cabin, add a contemporary twist.

The Velar gets its name derived from the Latin word Velare meaning ‘to cover’ or ‘veil’. Velar is a direct reference to the code name used on the original, pre-production Range Rovers of the late 1960s
