Maruti Suzuki has revealed the India-spec Swift. Bookings for the popular hatchback are now open and the all-new Maruti Swift will make its debut at the Auto Expo 2018. Interested customers can now book one with an initial payment of INR 11,000.
The Swift has been Maruti Suzuki’s top seller since it was first introduced in India. It still continues to feature among the top five best selling cars in India for over a decade and now the new generation Swift will continue to dominate the market with its latest design language.
The all-new Maruti Swift is based on Suzuki’s 5th generation HEARTECT platform which is also utilized on the new Baleno and new Dzire. The 2018 Maruti Suzuki Swift is wider by 40 mm and now has a 20 mm longer wheel base which provides more cabin space, headroom as well as luggage space.
The new Maruti Swift is an evolution of the older model. It is now more aerodynamic and features a new front grille design and floating roof. The hatchback also gets sleek and expressive LED projector headlamps with a signature LED DRL design. The look is further enhanced by the precision cut two-tone alloy wheels.
The interior has been designed with a sporty theme in mind. The new Maruti Swift gets a driver-oriented cockpit design. It features a flat bottom steering and trims in urbane satin chrome finish on the instrument panel, steering, doors and speedometer rings.

The 2018 Maruti Swift now comes with more luggage space which has increased by 58 litres which is 28% more than the second generation Swift. It also has 24 mm more headroom compared to the outgoing model.
Powering the new Swift models are the trusted K12 VVT engine and DDiS 190 engine. These engines have been tuned to offer better performance and efficiency. Maruti will also launch the new Swift with Auto Gear Shift (AGS) technology in both petrol and diesel trims.
Further, the car will now come with the Suzuki SmartPlay Infotainment System on the top-end model. This system is compatible with Apple Car Play, Android Auto and Mirror Link. It features in-built Voice Recognition with Indian accent English, Bluetooth audio streaming and Navigation.
2018 Maruti Swift Colours:
The new Swift will be available in six vibrant colours – Prime Lucent Orange (New), Prime Midnight Blue, Solid Fire Red, Pearl Arctic White, Metallic Silky Silver and Metallic Magma Grey.
2018 Maruti Swift Petrol Variants:
The new Swift will be available in 6 variants – Lxi, Vxi, Vxi AGS , Zxi, Zxi AGS and Zxi+
2018 Maruti Swift Diesel Variants:
The new Swift will be available in 6 variants – Ldi, Vdi, Vdi AGS, Zdi, Zdi AGS and Zdi+
