2018 Bajaj Avenger 220 Street & Avenger 220 Cruise – Video & Images

Bajaj Auto had unveiled the 2018 Bajaj Avenger 220 Street along with the 2018 Bajaj Avenger 220 Cruise at the launch of the new Discover 110 & Discover 125. The company had also showcased the 2018 Dominar 400 range in new colours at the event.

The 2018 Bajaj Avenger motorcycles receive a host of new features. The Street and the Cruise variant get slightly different looking parts to give each of them a distinct look. Prices for the new Avenger models will soon be announced.

Bajaj Avenger 220 Street Matte Black 2018

The 2018 Bajaj Avenger 220 Street features a sporty look with the most of the body, engine and chassis parts finished in back colour. It is now equipped with a Roadster Design Headlamp with LED DRL (Daytime Running Light), Street control handlebar, Digital Multi-functional display with orange backlight, Black alloy wheels and a sporty rear grab handle. The 2018 Bajaj Avenger 220 Street will be available in Matte Black and Matte White colour options.

The 2018 Bajaj Avenger 220 Cruise gets a classy look with several parts such as the leg guard, silencer, rear view mirrors, horn, etc. finished in chrome. It also sports a new headlamp design with integrated LED DRL and Highway comfort handlebar. The cruiser also comes fitted with a windshield along with Digital Multi-functional display with blue backlight and a cushioned backrest. The bike also rides on chrome finished multi-spoke wheels. The 2018 Bajaj Avenger 220 Cruise will be available in Auburn Black and Moon White colour options.

Both the Avenger Street and Cruise bikes apart from having a few cosmetic changes, share their mechanical titbits with each other. They are powered by the same 220 cc oil cooled DTS-I engine which produces 19.03 PS at 8400 rpm and 17.5 Nm at 7000 rpm. This motor is coupled to a 5-speed gearbox.

Upfront the Avenger twins are equipped with a telescopic fork and get twin shock-absorber for the rear. Stopping power comes from a 260 mm disc at the front and 130 mm drum at the rear. The motorcycles run on 17-inch wheel fitted with a 90-section tyre at the front and 15-inch wheel fitted with a 130-section tyre at the rear.
