2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class All-Terrain to be showcased in India at the 2018 Auto Expo

The Mercedes-Benz E-Class All-Terrain is all set to be showcased in India at the 2018 Auto Expo. The new model combines striking looks of an SUV with the intelligent space concept of a station wagon.

The Mercedes-Benz E-Class All-Terrain features a rugged looking exterior. It gets an SUV-style twin-louvre grille with the Mercedes Star logo integrated into the centre. The three-part front bumper houses an under guard electroplated in silver-chrome which adds to its off-road-ready appearance.

At the side, the E-Class All-Terrain gets black wheel claddings and a robust looking side skirt cover. The three-part bumper at the rear also features outer load sill protection and a visual underride guard which is electroplated in silver-chrome.

Inside, the new model features all of the intelligent luggage space solutions of the E-Class Estate. The All-Terrain model gets a special trim element in an aluminium-carbon-fibre look, stainless steel sports pedals with rubber studs and also floor mats with All-Terrain lettering. The equipment of the All-Terrain is based on the AVANTGARDE interior line, EXCLUSIVE and designo options are also available.

The Mercedes-Benz E-Class All-Terrain is offered in E 220 d 4MATIC and E 350d 4MATIC variants. The E 220 d model is powered by the newly developed 2.0-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine which produces 94 PS and 400 Nm of torque. The E 350 d variant is powered by a 3.0-litre diesel engine that churns out 258 PS and 620 Nm of torque. Both these motor get the 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission and the 4MATIC AWD system as standard.

The car rides on exclusive light alloy wheel sets and gets a higher ground clearance than the conventional E-Class estate model by 29 mm which varies between 121 to 156 mm using the AIR BODY CONTROL air suspension. The Mercedes-Benz E-Class All-Terrain measures 4947 mm in length, 1861 mm in width, 1497 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2939 mm.

The E-Class All-Terrain has DYNAMIC SELECT as a standard feature which enables the driver to select 5 different driving modes – Comfort, ECO, Sport, All-Terrain and Individual. The estate is also equipped with Active Brake Assist, Pre-Safe, Attention Assist and several other Driving Assistance functions such as Drive Pilot, Active Emergency Stop Assist and Active Lane-change Assistant among others.
