After unveiling the India-spec Renault Captur in September, the company has finally launched the SUV in the country. The Renault Captur for India is offered with an introductory starting ex-showroom price of INR 9.99 Lakh across the country.

The Renault Captur is offered with both petrol and diesel engines. The power for the petrol variant comes from the 1.5-litre H4K engine which develops 106 hp and 142 Nm of torque. The diesel model of the Captur is powered by the 1.5-litre K9K motor which produces 110 hp and 240 Nm of torque. The petrol motor gets a five-speed manual gearbox while the diesel comes equipped with a six-speed manual gearbox. There is no option for an automatic or all-wheel drive transmission.
The features of this SUV include a unique Smart Access Card, Infinity Instrument Cluster, 7.0-inch touchscreen, two-tone leatherette seats in black and white, LED ambient lighting, Intelligent ULC 3.0 with inbuilt rear parking camera and Automatic Climate Control with surround white illumination. The Renault Captur also comes equipped with ABS with EBD, Brake Assist, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Cruise Control, Speed Limiter, Hill Start Assist along with Dual front and side airbags.
The Captur sold in India is different than the one sold globally. This one is based on the M0 platform which also underpins the Duster, while the global Captur uses the Renault Clio’s platform. In other markets, this vehicle is retailed as the Renault Kaptur.

The Captur Monotone Colour options include Planet Grey, Moonlight Silver, Cayenne Orange, Mahogany Brown and Pearl White.
The Captur Dual tone Colour options include Cayenne Orange with Mystery Black roof, Pearl White with Mystery Black roof, Mahogany Brown with Mystery Black roof, Cayenne Orange with Marble Ivory roof, Mahogany Brown with Marble Ivory roof, Pearl White with Planet Grey roof and Mahogany Brown with Planet Grey roof.
