Tata Motors has introduced a special model for its flagship vehicle the Hexa known as the Downtown Edition. The Tata Hexa Downtown is available in a new Urban Bronze colour along with 15 additional features.
The special model of the Tata Hexa is available in two trims – Downtown Absolute Pack and Downtown Indulgence Pack. Both packs are available for the XE, XM, XMA, XT and XTA variants.
The additional features include Chrome pack suite, Tan colour seat covers, Wireless mobile charger, 10.1-inch Blaupunkt rear entertainment player, Heads-Up Display with Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), Stylish diamond cut alloy wheels, Side steps, Carpet set, Car care kit and Downtown badging. Fitting for most of the accessories will be done at dealer level and will attract extra fitting charges.
The Tata Hexa Downtown Edition continues to be powered by the same 2.2L diesel engine which is available in two outputs. The XE variant gets the VARICOR 320 motor which develops 150 PS at 4000 rpm and 320 Nm of torque at 1500-3000 rpm. All other variants are powered by the VARICOR 400 engine which churns out 156 PS at 4000 rpm and a torque of 400 Nm at 1700-2700 rpm.
Transmission duty for the Tata Hexa is done by a 5-speed manual gearbox on the XE variant while the other models get a choice between a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed Automatic gearbox. There is also an AWD (4X4) option available with the automatic gearbox on the top-end variant of the Hexa.
Some of the key features of the Tata Hexa include Smoked projector headlamps, Ice cube patterned DRLs, wraparound tail lamps with flexible LED technology, Ambient Mood Lighting with choice of 8 colours, Connectnext Infotainment System by Harman with 10 Speaker JBL System and Automatic Climate Control With Dual HVAC.
It also includes Automatic Headlamps, Rain Sensing Wipers, Electrically adjustable and Foldable Outer Rear View Mirrors (ORVM) with demister, Cruise control and Retractable sunblinds for 2nd row windows amongst other features.
The Tata Hexa is also comes equipped with 6 airbags, ESP with roll-over mitigation, ABS with Electronic Brake-force Distribution, Hill Hold Control (HHC), Hill Descent Control (HDC), Traction Control System and Rear-view camera with parking sensors.

The Hexa Downtown range starts from INR 12.18 Lakh (Ex-Showroom – Delhi) for the XE variant.
