Hyundai Motor India Ltd. (HMIL), one of the largest car manufacturer and car exporter of the country has received a record initial export order of 10,501 units for the Next-Gen Hyundai Verna from the Middle East market. The new Verna will be sold as the Next-Gen Hyundai Accent for the Middle East markets.
When compared to the earlier generations of Verna and Accent this is the single largest order that Hyundai India has received since inception. The company had invited 33 distributors from the Middle East (including Saudi Arabia, Oman and UAE) and other Asian countries (like Vietnam, Philippines, Sri Lanka etc.), to its production facility in Chennai on September 21, 2017.
“The Next Gen VERNA has received overwhelming response from domestic and export markets. We are very happy and proud to receive such a large single export order within one month of showcasing the product to the distributors from overseas markets. The distributors were given, a presentation about the new Hyundai Accent, its quality parameters along with a detailed plant tour and its capabilities. At the end of the plant visit, they were provided with an exclusive drive experience of Next-Gen Verna aka the new Accent.
The new 2017 Hyundai Verna will also be exported to South Africa, other Gulf and Asian countries from the beginning of the year 2018. It is said to be one of the most important product in Hyundai’s portfolio across the globe.
The new Hyundai Verna has received a great response since its launch in India on August 22nd, 2017. The car has received 18,600 bookings and more than 1,43,000 enquiries in just 2 months of its launch. These additional new orders will be shipped in December 2017, along with the delivery of 20,000 units by end-December 2017 for the Indian market at a special introductory price, which was committed during the product launch.
