Bajaj Auto has launched the Platina ComforTec with LED Daylight Running Lights (DRL). This makes the Bajaj Platina ComforTec the first Indian bike in the 100 cc-150 cc segment to sport LED DRL.
The LED DRL consume 88% less power and has a four times longer life. Thanks to its lower power consumption, it also delivers higher mileage compared to other bikes with AHO (automatic headlamp on) cementing its reputation of being the ‘world mileage champion’.
“With the introduction of this upgraded Platina ComforTec, we have made a superior product even better. Customers shall love the combination of comfort, superior mileage and LED DRL styling that the new Platina offers,” said Mr Eric Vas, President Motorcycle Business.
ComforTec is a first of its kind technology introduced in the commuter bike segment by Bajaj Auto. This system helps to reduce jerks by almost 20% as compared to other 100 cc motorcycles. The motorcycle features 28% longer travel front suspension and 22% longer rear suspension which provides superior absorption of jerks. This delivers a smoother ride and maximum comfort to the rider. The bike also sports a ‘spring-soft’ seat, rubber footpads and directional tires that enhance ride comfort and stability.
The Bajaj Platina ComforTec is powered by the frugal 102 cc Single cylinder, 2-valve, DTSi engine with ExhausTEC. It produces 7.9 PS at 7500 rpm and a Torque of 8.34 Nm at 5500 rpm. This engine is mated to a 4-speed gearbox.
