Tata Motors, one of the largest passenger vehicle manufacturers in India is celebrating the rollout of the 1,00,000th Tata Tiago.
The milestone car was a Pearlescent White Tiago which rolled off the assembly line at Tata Motors Sanand plant in Gujarat. The Tiago has been a key player in shaping Tata Motors’ future. It has received an overwhelming response since its launch in April last year. Looking at the response the company had also launched the Tiago AMT and even a limited edition Tata Tiago Wizz.
The Tata Tiago petrol model is powered by the 1.2L Revotron engine which develops 85 PS of power and 114 Nm of torque. It is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and also gets an option for an Automated Manual Transmission (AMT).
The Tata Tiago diesel gets its power from the 1.05L Revotorq engine which churns out 70 PS of power and 140 Nm of torque. This engine is coupled to a 5-speed manual transmission. Both engines come with Multi drive mode – Eco and City.
Some of the key features of the Tata Tiago include 3D headlamps with smoked lens, sharp tail lamps, dual-tone interiors, customizable air vents, height adjustable driver seat, knitted fabric on the roof, ConnectNext Infotainment system by Harman with 8 speakers, Turn-by-turn navigation app and Juke-Car app. It also gets ABS with EBD and Corner Stability Control, rear parking sensors with display on infotainment system and dual front airbags.
